Ireland Tour

Hi Everybody,

You've all probably heard me talk about my travels to Ireland...at last count I think I've made 16 trips. Many of you have told me how you've always wanted to go over there, so here's a great opportunity. Please don't respond unless you truly are interested.

Here's the deal: The tour will be limited to the first 20 folks who sign up. The tour begins the morning of April 15, 2008 at Shannon Airport. It will end the morning of April 24. The cost will be $1850 per person based on double occupancy for 9 nights. We will do our best to match up room mates if preferred. Single rooms are an additional $250 total per person for all 9 nights. The fee includes all ground transportation, all lodging (including full breakfast). It also covers 3 evening group meals, along with the costs for hiring our featured Irish musicians, poets, writers, etc.
You'll be responsible for your own flights to and from Shannon International airport, as well as all lunches, 6 dinners on your own, and drinks, tips, etc. We'll stay in small hotels and occasionally in B&Bs. We'll travel around in a small luxury coach/bus. We'll have a terrific tour guide in Tom Pigott. The areas we'll visit will include West Cork, Dingle (Co. Kerry) and Doolin (Co. Clare).

During the days we'll see the sights...castles, fishing villages, stone forts, islands. Nights will be for the music. We might try to do a couple nights where I swap songs with a local songwriter. Most nights our guide Tom arranges for us to visit a pub with an Irish session and afterward some tunes where we'd all be invited to sing some songs...very casual. It's possible I might do a concert or two, but I haven't decided yet. Probably not. Mainly I'd like to give you a chance to hear some great Irish music, be it traditional or singer-songwriter.

Check out Tom's website, www.enchantedwaytours.ie to get a more complete picture of what to expect on the tour. Please let me know as soon as possible if you might be seriously interested, and we will proceed from there.

A 50% deposit will be required once availability is confirmed. The balance will be due in early 2008.

All the best -
Chuck
